    I love this place! The decor is lovely and homey. The food is great, Especially the burgers! The service is also excellent. I have eaten here many many times over the years and only had one problem with my order management took care of the problem and made sure I left a happy customer. Weather you are looking for a quick lunch, a relaxing dinner, or a sweet treat Sassafras has it all.

    Very good spot for breakfast or lunch. If you like eggs Benedict the have a few different spins on the dish as well as the classic, all very good. Sadly the eggs Benedict is only available on weekends. The staff is great and the I've never had a bad meal.

    I was in Shelton for work today and just popped in to Sassafras for a quick lunch (it’s Friday around 1pm). Glad I did! The service was fast and friendly, the restaurant was inviting and the food was great. I had a Cobb salad with grilled buffalo chicken. It was a large salad with lots of chicken and toppings and I’m very satisfied. Thanks for a great lunch on the go!

    A good local dinner - where everyone knows you name. It's the breakfast-lunch meeting place in town. Satisfying fare, very friendly staff.
